Claus Ghesla is a behavioral economist who has specialized in experimental economic research with a particular focus on topics in the energy and environmental sector. After completing his master studies at the University of Copenhagen, he took a position as a project leader at a German energy utility dealing with issues concerning strategic foresight. Subsequently, he joined ETH Zurich to work on a doctorate analyzing the effects of behaviorally guided interventions in consumer electricity markets. In his studies he conducted both experiments in the economic laboratory, as well as studies in the field with utilities in Switzerland and Germany. He received his PhD in 2017.
Since October 2018 Claus Ghesla is working for Insight Austria.
