Florian Spitzer is a behavioral economist with a particular focus on experimental economics.
After studying economics in Heidelberg and Copenhagen, he worked as a Research Associate at the University of Vienna and at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. For his PhD thesis, he used laboratory experiments to investigate how behavior that is detrimental to other individuals can be reduced by creating the appropriate institutional environment. After completing his dissertation, he also worked on applying behavioral insights to the question of how to reconcile work and family life.
Since autumn 2018, he has been working for Insight Austria and Karmasin Research & Identity.
